Kingdom Come: Deliverance Switch Release Rumor Denied by Developer |
Only a day ago, a listing for Nintendo Switch version of 2018 action role-playing game Kingdom Come: Deliverance Royal Edition has been spotted by a Reddit user most recently on upcoming release index of Nintendo Japan's website.
A source within developer Warhorse Studios points out lately that reports of a Switch port for KCD: Royal Edition is merely a rumor and someone may have accidently listed it on Nintendo's site regardless of any official plans just yet.

PR manager Tobi Stolz-Zwilling on behalf of Warhorse Studios reveals that an alleged listing of KCD Switch release for February 18, 2021 was actually an error and apologized on social media as they are not sure who posted it out there.
One person pointed out that neither official accounts of Nintendo nor Warhorse have corrected this until now. It is almost apparent that someone within KC: Deliverance dev team is interested in KCD: Royal Edition port on Switch console.
Warhorse personnel Stolz-Zwilling denies all rumors of Kingdom Come: Deliverance coming to Switch for now.
As much as I would love a #kingdomcomedeliverance version on Switch - unfortunately there is none planned at the moment. We are investigating who was so ambitious to think differently but as for now... meh meh meeeeh..... Sorry guys. pic.twitter.com/Okp0ymHwdR

Kingdom Come: Deliverance features a realistic medieval setting of 1403 for an open-world RPG experience. In terms of gameplay, KCD is similar to Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Witcher 3: Wild Hunt but heavily relies on narrative accuracy.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance Royal Edition rumor getting denied is understandable but also very disappointing for dedicated fans. Earlier, Nintendo listed 3D platformer Banjo-Kazooie for Wii U mistakenly only to deny it shortly afterwards.
