Ghost of Tsushima Devs May Be Working on New PS5 Project |
Despite being released for last-generation hardware, PlayStation 4-exclusive action-adventure game Ghost of Tsushima from developer Sucker Punch Productions runs smoothly at 60 FPS in 1800p resolution on PlayStation 5 console.
A newfound description on LinkedIn page of an employee at Sucker Punch has lead to a rumor of Ghost of Tsushima studio either developing a next-gen port for PS5 systems or maybe they are working on a follow-up sequel currently.
Sucker Punch cinematic creative director, Dave Molloy previously had a mention of "presently working on the Ghost of Tsushima game for Sony PS5" in his LinkedIn resume that fans took a quick notice of but it has been removed now.
Molloy swiftly made a change to his resume and it now reads "presently working on the Ghost of Tsushima game for Sony PlayStation". It could simply be a mistake on his LinkedIn profile or he accidentally hinted at a future PS project.

Even though Sony's next-gen console can run Ghost of Tsushima at 60 FPS in 4K resolution with backwards compatibility, many players really want Sucker Punch to release a native version for an enhanced experience on PlayStation 5.
Whether or not this Ghost of Tsushima project under works is a native PS5 version like Marvel's Spider-Man: Remastered is not confirmed yet. Sony and Sucker Punch are up to something that they are clearly trying to keep under wraps.
Sucker Punch was looking to hire a combat designer earlier this year, asking for someone who has played Ghost of Tsushima and is familiar with its "core combat systems" in a new job listing, strongly hinting at follow-up sequel to GoT.
Regardless of latest rumor, Sucker Punch Productions is currently working on a project related to Ghost of Tsushima anyway. An early job listing posted by SP has called for applicants with an aspiration to write stories of feudal Japan.
