New Mass Effect Sequel Game in Development
BioWare officially reveals brand-new Mass Effect sequel game currently in works for PC and next-gen consoles.
Ending a long-running rumor mill of Mass Effect remastered trilogy being in works, developer BioWare recently announced Mass Effect: Legendary Edition celebrating annual N7 Day, which collects enhanced versions of original trilogy.
In the same official blog post, studio general manager Casey Hudson confirms working on a new Mass Effect game, which is being developed by a veteran team at BioWare and currently in an early stage without sharing any other details.

Series fans have last played Mass Effect: Andromeda back in 2017, which received a mixed to negative feedback from players. Nevertheless, many were eagerly anticipating for Commander Shepard to return soon on next-gen consoles.
After a long departure from iconic franchise, BioWare is bringing back new sci-fi RPG sequel of Mass Effect. However, they didn't clarify whether upcoming chapter will be a direct follow-up or a spin-off title like Mass Effect: Andromeda.
Casey Hudson only shared an artwork from new Mass Effect game as a teaser image, featuring a spaceship with XT8 inscription. It also has a cannon mounted on top and two thrusters while four individuals can be seen standing next to it.
Meanwhile, Mass Effect: Legendary Edition remaster is set to launch on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in spring 2021. A next-gen version will be arriving on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X in future with forward compatibility features.
