Fortnite Free Next-Gen Upgrade Details Revealed |
Instead of simply tweaking last-gen version, Epic Games has worked on a native build to take full advantage of new consoles. All exiting Fortnite players can jump on board and carry over in-game progress to next-generation version.
Fortnite receives visual enhancements to smoothly run on 4K resolution at 60 FPS for both PS5 and Series X. Though similar upgrades will not be available for Xbox Series S, you can still enjoy playing on 1080P and 60 FPS at all times.
Your surrounding environment becomes more interactive and fluidity of simulation effects is enhanced for a dynamic experience. Not only texture loading has been improved but players will be getting to matches faster than ever.
PS5 and Xbox family of consoles are confirmed to support split-screen gameplay at a constant 60 FPS. DualSense controller makes you feel using ranged weapons like Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle or Suppressed SMG through haptic feedback.
