Sea of Thieves: Fate of the Damned Update Live Now

Currently boasting over 15 million players worldwide, 2018 open-world pirate action-adventure game Sea of Thieves from developer Rare Studio and publisher Xbox Game Studios is ready to celebrate annual festival of Halloween.

In anticipation of ongoing spooky season this year, Rare Studio releases free monthly content update Fate of the Damned today, adding activities, cosmetics, events menu, options, weekly challenges and more for all SoT players.

Sea of Thieves releases a brand-new trailer highlighting free Fate of the Damned contents and features.

Though inspired from previous Halloween events, Fate of the Damned update has a lot of new content to offer. Shadows of Fate enemies will return this month and pirates are to join forces with Bilge Rats to tackle them for good.

Go near outpost tavern to meet Larinna and learn what she knows before heading over to new adventures. She will guide you to free Voyages looking for her missing crews, where you can get knowledge and tools to fight the Damned.

Any contribution and efforts in fending off Shadows of Fate hordes will eventually be rewarded. Also try to complete a rotating array of weekly challenges during Fated Fortune event and earn exclusive Soulflame Crew cosmetic set.

Thanks to new addition of in-game events menu, you can keep track of events that are taking place throughout maps. Halloween-themed spooky skeleton cats and dogs are available now on Pirate Emporium as pets for animal lovers.

Larinna will be adding up new items to Black Market stocks and there are tons of additional bug fixes for better experience. Enlighten yourself with spooky "Tricky Treats" rewards like emotes, facepaints and Soulflame Ship Collection.

Sea of Thieves: Fate of the Damned update is free for all pirate crews over Windows PC, Xbox Game Pass and Xbox One. Rookie players can start sailing with narrative-based Maiden Voyage or take a tour of online Pirate Academy.
