Ubisoft may reveal Prince of Persia Remake at Ubisoft Forward event next week for possible franchise revival.
For nearly a decade, developer/publisher Ubisoft has been sitting idly on one of their most popular action-adventure platform franchise Prince of Persia, following release of Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands back in 2010.
Ubisoft has announced to hold their next Ubisoft Forward digital event on September 10, 2020 to showcase new games and some recent rumors suggest that Prince of Persia Remake will be revealed at upcoming event very soon.

In August, a leaked listing for Prince of Persia Remake was found at retailer site Max.com.gt, which was quickly removed. It was set to arrive for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch with a primary release window of November 2020.
On latest episode of Triple Click podcast, Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier casually mentioned that Ubisoft is planning to reveal Prince of Persia Remake that got leaked earlier at next Ubisoft Forward event, along with a bunch of games.

In 2013, Ubisoft Montréal CEO Yannis Mallat stated to have "paused" Prince of Persia series during an interview before it got sidelined. He also adds that until they have anything to show, Ubisoft will find something to entertain fans.
Prince of Persia was one of the most celebrated action-adventure series from PlayStation 2 console generation in Ubisoft history before it eventually got pushed aside by Assassin's Creed, which originally debuted as a spin-off franchise.
