Tawna previously appeared in first game in Crash Bandicoot trilogy and not much of her story was explored. She would come across Crash and Coco at early phase of Crash Bandicoot 4 from an alternate dimension called "Tawnaverse".
Now that she is a hero of her own right, Tawna goes through a redesign and gets a complete makeover. She is no longer waiting to be rescued by her boyfriend like a damsel in distress and is ready to take matters into her own hands.

Tawna joins alongside Dingodile and Neo as a playable character for latest installment of Crash Bandicoot franchise. She makes her long-awaited return for Crash 4 with cool new look, unique style of gameplay and special move sets.
Tawna features a hook-shot ability that lets her traverse through levels and attack enemies or break crates from distance easily. She is the only character being able to make wall jumps aside from doing ground-pound and spin kicks.
