Borderlands 3 to Get Free Next-Gen Upgrade
Gearbox Software will offer free next-gen console version upgrade for Borderlands 3 on PS5 and Xbox Series X.
Just days ago, action role-playing first-person shooter game Borderlands 3 from developer Gearbox Software and publisher 2K Games launched its fourth premium content pack Psycho Krieg DLC ahead of first anniversary of release.
In a recent livestream at PAX Online digital showcase, Gearbox announced to release free next-gen upgrade for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X console versions for all current owners of BL3 title on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms.

Borderlands 3 will be running at 4K resolution on 60 FPS for upcoming generation of consoles in single-player campaign mode. Gearbox confirms that current-gen players can also bring over all purchased DLCs and game saves to next-gen.
Those who love playing co-op would be thrilled to know about upcoming features such as four-player split-screen on local multiplayer and vertical split-screen for two players, which will be available to PS4 and Xbox One versions as well.

Gearbox Software is working on more updates to add new skill trees to all Vault Hunter class and brand-new game mode. Action Skills will be included via paid downloadable content and cross-platform play will arrive later in 2021.
Borderlands 3 will get additional DLC for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X following next-gen console launch this holiday season. FL4K is getting a new pet, Hyperion Loaderbot that has its unique set of combat options to attack enemies.

Before more story DLC are rolled out, some exciting endgame content and limited time events will keep everyone busy. BL3 players will be receiving more SHIFT codes throughout this month to unlock rare heads, masks, skins and weapons.
