Monster Hunter: World and Resident Evil 7 Becomes Capcom's Best-Selling Game
Latest report reveals Monster Hunter: World and Resident Evil 7 topping all-time list of Capcom best-seller.
Due to owning a wide variety of popular franchises that expands to diverse genre of titles, Japanese developer/publisher Capcom has maintained its market success for decades and is still relevant to modern-day and old-school fans.
In recent years, Capcom has seen couple of major hits that globally sold over millions of copies. According to latest official reports, Monster Hunter: World and Resident Evil 7 has become best-selling games of all-time in Capcom history.

Monster Hunter: World and Resident Evil 7 are revealed to be two of Capcom's best-selling titles of all-time. MHW tops overall sales chart by selling over 16.1 million units and RE 7: Biohazard came second with 7.9 million units sold.
Monster Hunter: World and Resident Evil 7 have set a new sales record by dethroning previous best-sellers Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6. Every other title released from Devil May Cry or Street Fighter series are outsold by MH: World.

One of Capcom's long-running series, Resident Evil has made its debut back in original PlayStation era. Aside from a series of mainline games and spin-offs, RE franchise has released a series of commercially successful movies as well.
In comparison, Monster Hunter is relatively new IP for Western audience but massively popular in Japan. Capcom didn't realize fully its potential and global appeal until they released Monster Hunter: World and its DLC expansion pack Iceborne.

Fans may rejoice knowing that Super Nintendo version of Street Fighter II has sold more than 6.3 million units. Dead Rising 2 and Devil May Cry 5 managed to stay within top 20 by shipping more than 3.7 and 3.1 million units respectively.
