Doom Eternal: The Ancient Gods, Part One Official Trailer

Earlier in August, developer id Software and publisher Bethesda Softworks have teased first part of upcoming DLC expansion for first-person shooter game Doom Eternal titled The Ancient Gods, Part One during QuakeCon 2020 event.

A full reveal was due for Opening Night Live showcase at Gamescom, where Bethesda debuts an official trailer unveiling new story campaign, enemies and same brutal gameplay, currently announced to release on October 20, 2020.

Doom Slayer has defeated Khan Maykr and now, there is a power vacuum that becomes a huge threat for all creation. His mission is far from over and he heads back to Urdak with help from an old ally to settle some scores once again.

Doomguy revisits Makyr homeworld and dives deep into an unknown territory underwater by boarding a submersible. He ascends onto heavenly realms to wage war against angelic beings but ends up fighting demonic armies from Hell.

Acting much like an Arch-Vile, a blue spirited entity is seen roaming around empowering Hell soldiers and Tyrants to act as its pawn. There is a unique combat scenario where Doom Slayer is pitted against two deadly Marauder enemies.

Doomguy gets a transport from an enormous demon later, suggesting a brief truce between forces of Hell and their sworn enemy. At one point, he eventually comes face to face with his guardian Samur Maykr, also known as Seraphim.

id Software is treating The Ancient Gods DLC as a standalone release and you don't need to pre-own Doom Eternal base game to purchase and enjoy forthcoming campaign expansion, according to executive producer Marty Stratton.

Doom Eternal: The Ancient Gods story extension is scheduled to arrive later this year for Google Stadia, PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Players who own Deluxe Edition or Year One Pass of the game will get access Part One on launch day.
