Last year, there was an insider report of developer Treyarch and Raven Software working on Call of Duty: Black Ops franchise reboot for annual release on behalf of publisher Activision, with a scheduled launch window set for 2020.
Earlier this month, Activision announces Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, upcoming first-person shooter title from Call of Duty annual franchise, set to release on November 13, 2020 for PC via Battle.net, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Latest trailer for Black Ops rebooted title was launched by Activision via Call of Duty: Warzone in-game event, which brings back Black Ops series protagonists Alex Mason, Frank Woods and Jason Hudson to hunt down Soviet spy Perseus.
Returning cast of characters Alex, Frank and Jason meets new operatives to uncover a secret plot that can lead to upsetting global events. Expect to experience a lot of twists while you try to discover truth and heart-pounding action.

In order to stop a nefarious global conspiracy, players will be taking direct orders by former U.S. President Ronald Reagan. In single-player campaign, you will take on a series of covert missions and aided by classic firearms of Cold War era.
Black Ops Cold War to share progression with free-to-play battle royale experience Warzone by adding items that can be accessed in both games. Warzone players will retain Modern Warfare contents like blueprints and Operators they earned.

Treyarch and Raven Software received development assistance from Beenox, High Moon Studios and Sledgehammer Games. Black Ops Cold War will debut as a cross- gen and cross-platform title for everyone to play together.
Activision has planned for post-launch content roadmap, which includes multiplayer maps and new game modes. Battle Pass contents like weapons, customization items will unlock and carry over to Black Ops Cold War and CoD: Warzone.

Available now for pre-order, digitally early purchasing Standard, Cross-Gen Bundle or Ultimate Edition will get you Confrontation Weapons Pack. Players can also buy upgrades for next-gen console at launch by spending an extra $10 only.
Ultimate Edition comes with Battle Pass Bundle for any season of Cold War as well as Land, Sea and Air Pack, priced $89.99. Also, you get immediate 10 tier skips on Battle Pass that advances your progress in Modern Warfare and Warzone.

Pre-order gives you early access to open beta for Black Ops Cold War before launch and PC version gets no physical editions. Players will receive Woods Operator pack including blueprints and Operators for Modern Warfare and Warzone.
There are no rewards for physical pre-order such as early access open beta or Woods Operator Pack. Treyarch has promised to reveal multiplayer gameplay on September 9, 2020 and newest chapter of Call of Duty: Zombies in near future.
