Mafia: Definitive Edition Delayed, Gameplay Reveal Coming Soon
Release date for Mafia: Definitive Edition is delayed to September 2020 due to Coronavirus outbreak.
After an accidental leak from Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee revealed rating for Mafia II and Mafia III "Definitive Edition" back in April, an official trailer for remastered Mafia Trilogy came out, followed by August 2020 release window.
In May 2020, Definitive Edition for Mafia II and Mafia III were made available for major gaming platforms with Mafia: Definitive Edition set to arrive on August 28, which has now been delayed until September 25, due to COVID-19 outbreak.

Amidst a global pandemic of Coronavirus, meeting any deadlines have become increasingly challenging for even big-name companies but developers are still committed to take time and deliver an updated experience they promised earlier.
People who were truly looking forward to first game of critically-acclaimed crime action-adventure trilogy of Mafia series for years will have to wait a little longer now but they can get a look at its improved gameplay by end of this month.

In a recent post, official Twitter handle for Mafia games announced an unfortunate delay in development.

Mafia: Definitive Edition dev team strongly believes that to stay true to their word and not sacrificing quality, a little delay is necessary. Players would surely be appreciative of a smooth experience rather than a rushed product with bugs.
Though games getting pushed back are nothing new in gaming industry, recent pandemic of COVID-19 has made it so common these days. Despite having some disappointment over this, fans tend to be understanding towards companies.
