Ubisoft officially reveals Far Cry 6 at UbiForward event recently, confirming early leaks and a 2021 release date.
Not many games in recent memory from developer/publisher Ubisoft (or any other game company) have been plagued with series of major online leaks as much as upcoming Far Cry 6 as it failed to keep any major secrets so far.
An official world premier trailer for FC6 has been announced at UbiForward digital event today, offering first-look at in-game characters, story setting and February 18, 2021 release date, as revealed earlier via a leak on PlayStation Store.

Far Cry 6 reveal trailer sheds light on its story premise and introduces its primary antagonist Anton Castillo.

A Spanish song is being played in a walkman as a young boy was playing with his toy car when a man walks into the room of a palace-like house. Addressing that boy as his son Diego (Anthony Gonzalez), he claims to bring a gift for him.
Handing over a grenade in Diego's hand, he starts explaining its basics and how it works before telling the boy to follow him. As a ruling dictator and El Presidente of island nation Yara, he starts grooming his successor to hate on people.

You will assume the role of freedom fighter protagonist Dani Rojas as both a male or female character and can use a series of powerful weapons and vehicles to fight back fascism alongside rebel allies and a wiener dog named Chorizo.
Although many price for next-gen titles seem to have increased to $69.99 lately, Ubisoft will be retailing Far Cry 6 for $59.99 across all systems. Also, players who buy current-gen FC6 versions will receive free upgrade to next-gen consoles.

Anton Castillo is portrayed by Emmy Award nominee actor Giancarlo Esposito (Dear White People, The Mandalorian), who is renowned for his role of a ruthless drug lord named Gus Fring on acclaimed AMC crime drama Breaking Bad.
Far Cry 6 is confirmed to arrive next year on Google Stadia, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X. There are three special editions available for digital and physical pre-order with a special DLC pack as bonus.
