Fallout TV Series Comes to Amazon Prime

Popular RPG series Fallout from Bethesda is being adapted into a TV show for Amazon Prime by Westworld series creators.

With so many video game properties being greenlit for television adaptation by major networks and streaming platforms these days, it's about time that someone would finally pick up Fallout franchise license for a live-action TV series.

An official announcement came out today from Amazon Studios confirming an upcoming small-screen adaptation of Fallout by revealing a teaser trailer on official twitter account, with series creators of Westworld joining the project.

Amazon has recently partnered up with Jonah Nolan and Lisa Joy to serve as executive producers for a planned TV show based on Fallout series through Kilter Films banner, teaming up with developer/publisher Bethesda Softworks.

Director of publishing operations James Altman and executive producer Todd Howard of Bethesda are to executive producing as well. Amazon Studios can skip a pilot episode and move to main series if executives approve the script.

Post-apocalyptic role-playing game series Fallout has debuted back in 1997, which sets premise of an alternate history America of 22nd century following a nuclear war at late 1940s where players try to survive in a harsh wasteland.

Fallout showrunners do not have a writer assigned, nor did they reveal its cast and an official release date. Details about the show are very scarce now and we need to keep an eye on future press release to know more about said project.
