Bungie offers first look of Stasis powers in newest Destiny 2: Beyond Light gameplay trailer at Xbox Games Showcase.
On November 10, developer/publisher Bungie will start off a new chapter in free-to-play online multiplayer first-person shooter Destiny 2 with release of its upcoming major expansion Beyond Light DLC for all available platforms and next-gen.
During announcement of Beyond Light earlier in June 2020, players only got a brief sneak peak at new elemental power. Today, Bungie offered a better look via new gameplay trailer focused on Stasis at Xbox Games Showcase digital event.

At long last, Guardians are about to make contact with Darkness in Beyond Light and wield Stasis elemental powers. Latest trailer sheds light on new gameplay aspects, super abilities, and inclusion of Stasis sub-classes for Destiny 2.
Players will be creating huge pillars of ice on the go using Stasis grenades for insane level of terrain manipulation. They can also use general attack abilities to encase them in ice or to slow down enemies before shattering them to shards.

Guardians have been working for Traveler since the beginning and using its power of Light to fight off Darkness. For most part in Destiny lore, Darkness has remained mysterious force but is recently making its presence known to all.
Players also encountered a few pyramid ships during Season of Arrivals that will block access to several locations in Beyond Light expansion, which is a part of Bungie's strategy of introducing a vault, to temporarily remove certain content.

Bungie had to delay release of Beyond Light DLC from September 22 to November 10 under working restrictions of COVID-19 pandemic. An optimized version for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X will arrive for next-gen at launch as well.
Destiny 2: Beyond Light will kicks off Year 4 Season 2 content through a trilogy of expansions including The Witch Queen and Lightfall. Later this year, Xbox Game Pass will add D2 and allow members access to all of its current expansions.
