Crystal Dynamics unites Marvel's Avengers in new co-op gameplay footage on War Table livestream.
Having been working on upcoming action-adventure game Marvel's Avengers for some time, developer Crystal Dynamics, in association with Eidos Montréal and publisher Square Enix came forward revealing some new gameplay details.
Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix sheds light on co-op mode, extended gameplay, Hero Missions and story premise of Avengers Project during latest War Table livestream on YouTube, as we head closer to global release in Q4 2020.

First trailer from War Table focuses on a post-Avengers world, in the aftermath of A-Day from five years prior. A young heroine named Kamala Khan figured out a conspiracy by A.I.M. behind the disbandment of Earth's Mightiest Heroes.
Khan is an Inhuman who recently just discovered her special-powers and tries to reassemble the heroes once again. She is later found and approached by A.I.M. leader, George Tarleton but she refuses his help and chooses her own path.

Khan talks to Bruce Banner to reach out to Tony Stark and uncover secrets behind A-Day incident, which led to Captain America being killed. As they prepare to reassemble, Black Widow gets into an argument with Thor over their decision.
Despite Kamala's warnings, their internal spat turns into a fistfight and A.I.M. sends its foot-soldiers to destroy them. In his desperate attempt to eradicate all superpower from Earth, Tarleton allows himself to transform into M.O.D.O.K.

Kamala Khan worriedly watches over A.I.M. deploying a series of its latest mechs on Chimera Helicarrier. Iron Man blasts one of those out, which fall into street and Thor arrives just in time to save a newsman before joining the fight.
As he charges into battle, his teammates are happy to see him and Odinson starts wrecking a horde of bots on his way. Hulk joins him soon and starts smashing all machines around him while Thor powers up Chimera with lightning.

War Table will assign you to War Zones, which you can access from Helicarrier bridge, outposts and Quinjets. Chimera serves as your home base that has options to repair and add upgrades, with personal quarters for each hero and gear.
War Table keeps an eye on what A.I.M. is doing across the world and sends you there directly. You can jump into next Hero Missions from Reassemble campaign if you want to or move over to War Zone missions that are unlocked so far.

Hero Missions are typically story-focused; whereas War Zone lets you earn loot, rescue allies and more in an expansive sphere. Although there will always be a key-objective, it is up to players about how they want to make an approach.
You will be given an idea of adjustable difficulty and suggested Power Level in each War Zone missions, with great rewards. Optional matchmaking will tag you up to three other Avengers or you can bring in AI companions to form your party.

Players can create iconic moments by using their heroic powers in combat during War Zone multiplayer. Hulk can join Kamala Khan AKA Ms. Marvel in clapping enemies or Iron Man can blast off enemies once Thor sends them up in the air.
War Table addresses global threats and therefore, War Zone has a diverse range of missions across Marvel Universe. While trying to put back their old team, players will rebuild outposts worldwide for Factions like Resistance and S.H.I.E.L.D.

War Zone has similar missions like campaign centered Hero Missions that pursues a unique hero story. There are shorter assignments to take on that are known as Drop Zones, where you rain on A.I.M. structure or help out Faction allies.
Taking coordinates from hidden S.H.I.E.L.D. base around the globe, one can also uncover secret location of Vaults rich with rewards. For more challenging tasks, find out Hives where A.I.M. has built a stronghold for you to conquer through force.

Those who are looking to get into a boss fight should jump into Villain Sector missions to butt heads with some notorious bad-guys of Marvel. Chances are, you might even come across confirmed villains like Abomination and Taskmaster.
In your playthrough of Reassemble campaign and War Zone missions, you will acquire artifacts, cosmetics, gear and resources. Marvel's Avengers will allow you a wide range of costume skins, including t-shirt and jeans for The Mighty Thor.

Through playing, you will earn experience and it would help boosting your Hero level and unique skills specific to characters. Each member of Avengers is given multiple classes of skills that can be tailored with your aesthetic playstyle.
Gears will let you enhance hero abilities and unwanted ones can be used as crafting resources or be traded for upgrades. Artifacts will do almost the same and cosmetic items are for show-off or to match with your increasing Hero Level.

Dropping loads of information after month of radio-silence, Crystal Dynamics promises to host more War Table events in near future. Ever since first reveal, dev team has significantly changed character designs and made improvements.
Marvel's Avengers is planned for September 4, 2020 release on Google Stadia, PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Players who purchase digital or physical copies on last-gen will receive free update for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
