Mafia Trilogy Remaster Revealed

Acclaimed open-world crime game series, Mafia Trilogy announced for a re-release on PC and consoles.

Back in March 2020, a job listing by developer Hangar 13 website hinted at them working on a new open-world game. Then rating for Mafia II and Mafia III "Definitive Edition" was leaked by Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee in April.

Today, a brand-new trailer officially revealed first three Mafia games titled Mafia Trilogy are getting bundled in a complete collection. Full announcement regarding more information will arrive on May 19, 9 AM PT/12 PM ET/5 PM BST.

Other than a few flashbacks of characters from all three Mafia games, there is nothing much in latest trailer. Apparently, players can experience the acclaimed series on all current-gen gaming system excluding Nintendo Switch console.

Original Mafia was released back in 2002 for PC, PlayStation 2 and original Xbox, followed by Mafia II in 2010 for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Then Mafia III took another six years to finally come out in 2016 for modern-day systems.

Despite all the leaks and rumors running online, people were skeptical but when official Twitter account for Mafia game came alive after nearly two years by simply Tweeting a single word: "Family", everyone started paying attention.

Though a scheduled release date has yet to revealed by publisher 2K Games next week, Mafia Trilogy is currently confirmed for a re-release on Google Stadia, PC via Epic Games Store and Steam, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms.
