Sony Claimed to Have Identified The Last of Us 2 Leaker
People responsible for leaking The Last of Us Part II are reportedly indentified by Sony, which was an outside party.
Shortly after being delayed indefinitely, major story premise of upcoming PlayStation 4-exclusive game The Last of Us Part II has been leaked over ResetEra gaming forum and spread online though re-uploads at social media.
Many reports were stating that this was done by a disgruntled employee from developer Naughty Dog due to an alleged pay dispute, publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment officially confirms that they have identified the leakers.

An investigation lead by Kotaku reporter Jason Schreier has revealed last month that Naughty Dog has a "crunch culture" at workplace that has gone too far and many of their employees were even hoping for The Last of Us 2 to fail.
Other than releasing a statement about their disappointment over the matter earlier, Naughty Dog vice president and TLoU2 game director Neil Druckmann requested fans to avoid all spoilers reading or spreading until release.

Sony initially made no comments on leaks but then came out announcing to have found individuals responsible for TLoU2 leaks. They also claimed that these culprits are not associated with Naughty Dog or Sony, as rumored earlier.
Soon as these cut-scenes and gameplay footage were out, people started discussing and sharing their views online. Sony was forced to reveal a new release date for The Last of Us 2 and Ghost of Tsushima is pushed back a month.

Despite declaring to have found leakers, Sony refuses to disclose any details due to an ongoing investigation. Only thing that doesn't make sense here is if they really know who has done it, what is keeping them from taking action?
Given how Sony tried to blame activism group Anonymous after a cyber-attack on PlayStation Network back in 2011 that forced them to shut it down for nearly a month and then it blew up on their face, it is really hard to believe what they say.
