Streets of Rage 4 Out Now
Side-scrolling beat 'em up game Streets of Rage 4 from DotEmu, Guard Crush Games and Lizardcube is now available on PC, PS4, Switch and Xbox One.
A modern day revival of a classic side-scrolling beat 'em up series, Streets of Rage 4 from developer DotEmu, Guard Crush Games and Lizardcube in association with publisher Sega is out on Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
10 years after events of Streets of Rage 3, a new crime syndicate has taken over Wood Oak City in absence of villainous Mr. X, forcing martial artist Axel Stone and ex-cop Blaze Fielding to return in action once again with reinforcement.

Series veterans Axel and Blaze are joined by an old friend Adam Hunter, his daughter Cherry Hunter and Floyd Iraia, cyborg apprentice of Dr. Zan. Together they decide to fight off to eradicate the reign of Y Twins, heir of Mr. X.
SoR4 supports up to four-player in local co-op mode and multiplayer online with a single friend. Iconic retro combat style has been improved with brand-new gameplay mechanics to clean up the streets of Wood Oak from loathing scourge of evil.

Instead of bringing back characters like Skate, Max or Zan from previous SoR games, Dotemu lead game designer settled for Adam Hunter. Initially you start playing as Axel, Blaze, Cherry and Floyd before you eventually unlock Adam.
Aside from trying out Arcade and Boss Rush mode, there is competitive Battle Mode for players who would love to engage in brawl. Throughout different locations, test your fighting skills against rival players with your favorite characters.

In an attempt to recapture the glory of Streets of Rage franchise, dev team has recreated fan-favorite characters in beautiful hand-drawn visuals and added a mix of original soundtracks as well as old ones from Streets of Rage 1 and 2.
Streets of Rage 4 is essentially a franchise rebirth after nearly 25 years that nicely fits to recent trends while catering to nostalgic fans, which is very much rooted into the vein of old-school Streets of Rage games and much more fun.
