Disco Elysium Coming to Nintendo Switch
BAFTA award-winning RPG masterpiece Disco Elysium is coming to Nintendo Switch handheld very soon.
A sleeper indie-hit of last year, role-playing game Disco Elysium from developer/publisher ZA/UM has been out on all major platforms including PC, with PlayStation 4 and Xbox One version on their way, except Nintendo Switch.
However, a Switch port is now confirmed to be in development according to a statement by the game's art director Aleksander Rostov, who unintentionally ended up slipping this information during an exclusive podcast session with BBC.

Right after winning over three accolades at BAFTA Games Awards this year for Best Debut Game, Best Music and Best Narrative, Rostov and narrative lead Helen Hindpere recently attended BBC "Game On" podcast for an interview.
At one point, he jokingly tells host Adam Rosser that he is being kept away from doing work on a Switch port. His statement was backed up by Helen Hindpere as well saying, "It's going to happen soon", hinting at an announcement as well.

You play as a detective, who is working on a murder case while suffering from amnesia due to drug abuse. There are no scopes for direct combat for most part and your dialogue choices will often become a key in overcoming situations.
Disco Elysium was awarded "Best Independent Game" at The Game Awards 2019 and won in three other categories as well. Hopefully a launch date for its Nintendo Switch version will align with PS4 and Xbox releases later in 2020.

This interview is, at this very moment, interrupting me from writing up design documentation for the user interface and input systems for the Switch port.
