Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time Announced
Adult Swim Games announces Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time to release on summer 2020 for all major platforms.
For many years, fans of action-adventure animated television series Samurai Jack have been clamoring for a fun-filled video game adaptation based on the popular animated show since 2004 action-adventure title Shadow of Aku.
In a surprised reveal today, developer Soleil Games and publisher Adult Swim Games has announced upcoming 3D hack and slash action game Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time, which is currently scheduled for a summer 2020 release.

Adult Swim released an official trailer for Battle Through Time, briefly showcasing gameplay bits and its story.

Battle Through Time takes place before Jack fights against Aku for one last time in 2017 series finale of Season 5. During his quest, he will band together with many allies and come across old enemies as he goes back and forth in time.
Trying to find ways to confront his demonic arch-nemesis, Samurai Jack fights an array of dangerous and strange enemies in various different locations like ending up in a graveyard, travelling to a futuristic city or a lake area.

As his site of operation changes, Jack gets a different outfit each time except his trusty katana. He will be wielding more than a dozen different weapon types apart from his iconic magic sword and unlock new skills through combat.
To maintain series continuity, series writer of original show was hired to write a script for the game. There is also cue of taking major inspiration from final season in trailer above with Jack having an appearance in longer beard and hair.

Samurai Jack series creator Genndy Tartakovsky and lead writer Darrick Bachman to appear in a panel hosted by Adult Swim Games at PAX East 2020 on February 28, to talk more details on their current project Battle Through Time.
Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time will launch on summer this year for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Players can likely to expect a full gameplay trailer and set release date to arrive anytime before E3 2020 event.
