Monster Hunter Movie Teaser Poster Revealed
Sony Pictures revealed first official teaser posters for upcoming Monster Hunter movie, releasing on September 4.
Announcement for Monster Hunter live-action movie adaption based on titular fantasy-themed action role-playing series came from Capcom and Constantin Film in 2018, which was followed by official first-look image later that year.
Screen Gems has released two brand-new teaser posters featuring actress Milla Jovovich (The Fifth Element, Ultraviolet) and actor Tony Jaa (Ong-Bak, Tom-Yum-Goong) in their respective role of Lieutenant Artemis and The Hunter.

Jovovich is seen wielding a Giant Jawblade sword and Jaa is holding a Great Hunter's Bow, weapons inspired from series. Background location of desert setting looks similar to Wildspire Wastes area of Monster Hunter: World.
Monster Hunter movie is helmed by director Paul W.S. Anderson (Alien vs. Predator, Death Race), who will make change to MH storyline canon for big screen adaptation but will mainly feature monstrous creatures from MH: World.

Jovovich is playing as Lt. Natalie Artemis, an Earth-born character and a member of a United Nations military team. She along with her elite soldiers fell into a portal that took them to an alternate world that is inherited by monsters.
Now, Artemis and her friends must fight these behemoths to survive and try to prevent them from entering that portal to reach Earth. So, her military squad is forced to team-up with a "Hunter" character to find their way back home.

Anderson has written a script for the movie that will add a few science fiction elements to Capcom's creation. Enthusiastic fans can head over to Monster Hunter Festa event at PAX East on Saturday, February 29 to get these posters.
