Ni no Kuni Anime Movie Coming to Netflix
English dub of Ni no Kuni anime movie heads over to popular online streaming platform Netflix on January 2020.
Last summer, a full-length animated movie adaptation based on popular role-playing game series Ni no Kuni from developer Level-5 and publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment premiered in Japan, originally distributed by Warner Bros.
Prepping up for a Western release, this anime spin-off is skipping cinemas and instead an English dub for the film simply titled NiNoKuni is set to make Netflix debut on January 16, which has recently acquired its streaming rights.

Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch launched back in 2011 as an enhanced version of Dominion of the Dark Djinn that featured an extended ending and is followed by an ambitious sequel, Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom in 2018.
Premise of the first game revolves around a boy named Oliver who travels to a magical world to save his loving mother. There, he must face-off evil wizard Shadar in order to free Alicia, a counterpart of his mother on that dimension.

Studio Ghibli animator Yoshiyuki Momose, who previously worked on Wrath of the White Witch and Revenant Kingdom has directed the film. Both Yoshiyuki and his animation house collaborated in production of first Ni no Kuni game remake.
