Control Getting Expeditions Mode
Expeditions game mode for Control introduce new series of challenges, available from today as a free update.
Despite having a much-deserved nomination for "Game of the Year" title this year, action-adventure game Control couldn't be the winner but was recognized for "Best Art Direction" category at The Game Awards 2019.
As revealed earlier in post-launch content roadmap, developer Remedy Entertainment and publisher 505 Games releases first-ever free content update Expeditions for the game on PC via Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Expeditions mode is a challenging new experience to test out skills of a player in character build, combat and loadout. Once you have completed "My Brother’s Keeper" main mission, you can get access to this timed game mode.
There is an old-timey jukebox, which is another Object of Power that is kept in a remote room near to Central Executive area. When all jukebox tokens are collected, players will hear a song that would transport Jesse Faden into another dimension.

Once you are transported to Quarry Threshold, you have only 25 minutes to wrap up Expedition. It is already pretty difficult to complete and you are sent back to where you came from when your time is finally up.
You can defeat select enemies, complete Bureau Alerts and Board Countermeasures or buy more jukebox tokens from Astral Constructs menu. Expeditions have three tiers and they are all unlocked in a cycle and each one more difficult.

Accessing further tiers will cost you more tokens but gives you a chance to reap better rewards. Playing through Expeditions, Jesse has chances to get brand-new outfit, earn abundant crafting materials and mods for her Service Weapon.
Each time you go out trying your luck, there would be different gameplay factors like weapon damage getting significant buff, ammo generating faster or Jesse's supernatural abilities becomes less effective against Hiss enemies.

Expeditions will serve as free end-game content and bundled with December update that comes with a bunch of fixes and optimizations. Some issues regarding HUD elements and random camera glitch has been taken care of.
Third-person action game Control will get Foundation, its first paid DLC on March 26, 2020 for all major platforms. A follow-up second expansion pack titled AWE will arrive on middle of next year to explore further oddity.
