Ghost Recon: Wildlands Adds Mercenaries Mode
Get to the choppa from nearest extraction point as Ghost Recon: Wildlands deploys new Mercenaries game mode for all.
Last time developer/publisher Ubisoft released a free content update "Operation Oracle" for their tactical shooter title Ghost Recon: Wildlands, it ended up laying the foundation for upcoming Tom Clancy shooter Ghost Recon: Breakpoint.
Before the sequel eventually releases worldwide on October 4, 2019, one last free update will make it to Wildlands and it intends to feature a brand-new PvPvE mode titled Mercenaries for everyone on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

An official trailer is dropped lately to briefly showcase key-aspects of Mercenaries mode for players of GRW.

Newest Ghost Recon experience will have eight players competing in a challenge to call for a rescue chopper and then race to an extraction point to get to the choppa, so you can escape Unidad territory first before others.
When you will drop, there will be no gears, items or weapons other than a knife to defend yourself against any attacks but you can always look up for loot on-site to get an upper hand over your rivals and enemy troops of course.

Every match in Mercenaries mode will go through three phases and the first thing to do is Recon. You go look for useful intel to pass via radio transmitters for the chopper narrowing down your position for an extraction zone.
It can also lead you to loot cache nearby and even locations of fellow players for a short time. It is up to you to decide whether or not going after items or taking care of other problems at hand will strategically be your best bet for winning.

Once someone activates three transmitters, extraction zone will be discovered and players move to second phase, Helicopter Deployment. It will start flying towards their location and player who sent the call will know where it will land.
However, everyone else will be aware of the site of your chopper when your rescue finally arrives and you can't just expect to hop right in as it does. Extraction can only begin once a gauge is fulfilled and you need to secure landing zone.

Expect some hostile confrontation because others will try to get out but there are checkpoints for extraction gauge to respawn so that you don't need to start over each time someone takes you down and start everything from scratch.
Additionally, there are new armor and health system in place that helps you get back to your feet or patch you up when you start bleeding. Loot gear and weapons are hid behind destructible doors that will give away position of your opponents.

As soon as you complete your first Mercenaries match, you will unlock Lone Wolf costume that belonged to Ghost team leader, Cole D. Walker. Your first win also earns you a Mercenary Patch with more to follow for scoring winning matches.
Players who own a copy of Ghost Recon: Wildlands can jump in with major free update Mercenaries right now. Some bug fixes and required improvements for PvE, PvP and guerilla mode are also inbound within its content.
