Days Gone Free DLC Out Now
Free DLC for PS4-exclusive game Days Gone brings Survival Mode difficulty, Weekly Challenges and much more.
Even before releasing action-adventure survival horror game Days Gone for PlayStation 4, developer SIE Bend Studio and publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment announced its free post-launch DLC to arrive on June 2019.
Regardless of its fair share of flaws, members of PS4 community are giving out quite a positive response and players will have more reasons to get back to ride along with Deacon St. John, now that more free content is on their way from today.

First of all, Survival Mode has been added to test your skills and it is an improvement of current hard mode. Surviving in wilderness will be more difficult than ever but there are new bike skins and trophies as rewards for beating the difficulty.
Those relentless Freaker enemies harder are than before and worst part is, you simply cannot get by them with Fast Travel. An immersive HUD removes all enemy awareness indicators and that just increases tension of getting swarmed at any time.

Generally, players will not be seeing the HUD at all times but you can use Survival Vision to briefly activate it. Weekly Challenges are coming later in June regarding bike, combat or horde and each with their unique rules to play.
For completing these tasks, players would receive wearable patches that give gameplay perks like extended health, quicker stamina recharging, less focus cost, better durability for melee weapon, gun accuracy and much more.

Moreover, you can stack these advantages and carry over patches to main game if you wish to. Options to get rank and earn credits to purchase character or bike skins and get wearable Rings for more effective gameplay perks are also there.
Though you can benefit from wearing Rings to get better at challenges, a player can only equip Deacon with two of them at once. Player are to adept themselves with more tactical decisions and most importantly, Rings do not carry over to main game.

Bend Studio has planned out 12 challenges to release on 12 weeks, which will definitely increase its replay value to fans. Despite what many outlets were telling about the game, it already outsold God of War in Japan within one month of its launch.
