Devil May Cry Animated Series Confirmed
An animated series adaptation of Devil May Cry is coming from Netflix's Castlevania producer Adi Shankar.
After the immense success of gothic fantasy game series Castlevania animated adaptation for two seasons on Netflix, executive producer Adi Shankar (Dredd, The Grey) moves focus towards his upcoming project, Devil May Cry animated series.
Like Castlevania series of video games, action-adventure hack and slash series of Devil May Cry titles from Capcom has received massive fan-following over the years and he has acquired rights for the property before Hollywood screws it up badly.

By now, every popular video game fans know that how these big-budget Hollywood movies literally screws up these beloved franchises and other adaptations of Capcom series like Resident Evil and Monster Hunter are clearly no different.
Though he didn't reveal much detail about the series he planned but with him on the wheels of financial investment, there will be more creative freedom for Shankar to do what he does best and that is to make goddamn great stories that blow our minds.

After making a prior announcement, Adi Shankar revealed his next project with an image of him posing as DMC protagonist Dante posted on Twitter.

One other thing that you should know is that, Devil May Cry series will join Castlevania in his very own Bootleg Multiverse, which previously made Judge Dredd, and the Power Rangers short films on Marvel's Punisher and Venom.
These graphically violent shorts have made a unique identity for his work that we also saw in the two seasons of Castlevania on Netflix. Though the idea of DMC existing on a shared universe with the gothic fantasy saga is a bit weird but this is what we got.

Shankar's take on Netflix's Castlevania series has met with critical success and it is considered as the best video game adaptations ever. He even managed to keep that up in the second season of the series and is widely supported by devoted fan-base of the franchise.
Currently, the latest installment from the fan-favorite series, Devil May Cry 5 has been scheduled to release by Capcom on 8 March, 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One after the game was revealed back at E3 2018 earlier this year.
