Marvel's Spider-Man Sequel May Feature Symbiote Suit and Venom
Insomniac's game director teases Venom and the Symbiote for a possible sequel of Marvel's Spider-Man.
Newly released action-adventure game Marvel's Spider-Man from developer Insomniac Games and publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment on PlayStation 4 has been doing exceptionally well. Not only fans love it but review-aggregation sites are also leaving very positive remarks as well.
Although the story premise created for the game is pretty self-contained for Spidey fans to enjoy over and over, seems like the development team have left more elements to explore in a possible sequel.

While announcing the release of the game, Insomniac notified the fans about including some extra suits and everyone is busy going through the story mode, collecting backpacks, complete the side-missions and unlock dozens of new suits.
Many different versions of his suits from both comics and movies are among the list but one fan-favorite particular one, Spider-Man's Symbiote suit is surprisingly missing from the game. Are they part of some larger plans by the developers?

Insomniac Games' creative director Bryan Intihar recently came to an interview talking about the game and in a deep discussion with parts that contains spoiler, he revealed that they indeed have plans for a sequel.
When asked about the reason for not including the iconic symbiote suit, he stated that they really want to explore the story behind the suit and do proper justice to it, because it simply deserves to have a better status than just a mere unlockable suit.
In post-credits scene, we see that Norman Osborn has kept his terminally ill son Harry Osborn in a holding tank filled with green liquid and held by a black web-like substance as they try to cure him.
When he places his hand on the tank Osborn didn't notice that it eventually reacts by imitating his move. Now, this sticky black goop definitely is the Venom symbiote and the sequel may either have the villain making his debut or will take Peter as a host before it finally finds out Eddie Brock.

During the "Secret Wars" crossover event in 1984, the black Symbiote suit was first worn by Spider-Man when his original red and blue one was damaged in a fight. Initially he noticed a presence of sentience within it but never paid much attention until it bonded with him further and starts affecting his behavior.
Once he realized that how much it is altering his personality, Peter managed to get rid of the suit and then it found Eddie Brock, with whom it bonded and became Venom.

Though Sony has yet to officially announce a sequel for this PS4-exclusive, we can connect the dots ourselves. With so many clues to progress the plot of the game to another installment and a successful commercial run, it is only a matter of time they start developing it already.
A live-action Venom movie starring actor Tom Hardy (Inception, The Dark Knight Rises) is releasing in less than a month, which will create some hype for the character in advance even though fans are well aware of him.

I think something like that suit (symbiote suit) deserves its day in the spotlight. I think just making it an unlockable suit wouldn't be doing it justice. It's one of the best stories for Spider-Man. I think it's a complex story. And I think it's a story that needs to be told, and it needs to be told the way Insomniac would tell it.WARNING: THE FOLLOWING CONTAINS POTENTIAL SPOILERS FOR MARVEL'S SPIDER-MAN.
