Netflix Still Wants Stranger Things Game
Whether or not Telltale Games keeps up making interactive video games, Netflix still wants a Stranger Things game.
By making critically-praised games based on licensed properties like Batman, Game of Thrones, Guardians of the Galaxy and The Walking Dead, developer/publisher Telltale Games have made a name for themselves in the video game industry.
That is why the entire community was shattered by the news of them going out of business and came to their support. Not only the fans waiting for upcoming titles were shocked at this but more than 200 employees were left jobless as a result.

This sudden decision of studio closure made them leave The Walking Dead: The Final Season still incomplete as it only premiered the first episode on August 14. Even the highly anticipated The Wolf Among Us Season 2 was cancelled during the layoff.
The remaining projects that Telltale intended to finish was an interactive adaptation of Minecraft: Story Mode and a video game based on popular TV series Stranger Things for Netflix, which will be much like Telltale’s The Walking Dead.

The streaming giant assures that one of these games is definitely coming to their platform as planned after the remaining crew of the developer studio completes it and meanwhile, they will be looking for options to eventually complete the other one.
Reportedly, Telltale would continue their efforts on bringing the experience of Minecraft for Netflix audience while they keep looking for other options at hand to create their very own Stranger Things interactive universe.

Back in June, both Netflix and Telltale announced about their joint venture for a five-episode adaptation of Minecraft: Story Mode and it was scheduled to release this fall to provide an interactive experience for their audience to stream online.
Stranger Things on the other hand was intended to come out as a licensed game, just like the other episodic graphic adventure titles the developers have worked on. The third season of this sci-fi drama was announced back in December with a release date yet to be revealed.
