Dwayne Johnson Throws Shade at Doom Movie

While praising Rampage, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson throws shade at Doom movie and their Twitter respond back!

Hollywood superstar and former WWE megastar Dwayne Johnson (Baywatch, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle) is having quite a good time as his recent success at box-office with release of 2018 sci-fi monster movie Rampage.

Based on a 1986 arcade game of the same name from developer Midway Games, movie is solely based on an original story by Warner Bros. Pictures aside from borrowing some monstrous creatures and few other aspects.

Though video game movie adaptations often end up being a commercial failure as well as a critical mess, Rampage managed to change that by scoring 53% "Fresh" rating on Rotten Tomatoes aside from a steady opening weekend.

Its rating was set on basis of 153 critics' reviews on review aggregation website, on the following day of its release and that means, the film is currently on a good standpoint in either way and that's actually new to this niche genre.

Finally breaking a longest running curse of video game movie, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson joyfully posted a Tweet.

While he was being all thankful at recent success of Rampage movie, he couldn't help but playfully point out that he also starred in 2005's sci-fi action horror movie adaptation of Doom and how it was a complete disaster all along.

This is actually true that director Andrzej Bartkowiak's Doom movie was bad and very poorly-written that even a combined star-power of Johnson himself along with actor Karl Urban and Rosamund Pike couldn't save it from failing at box office.

However, Rock calling Doom a "stinker" didn't go well with whoever runs the official Twitter account for Doom. Displeased, that person got back at Johnson by responding in a very minimal yet classy way by simply Tweeting out "Dwayne".

Having a disastrous movie was already quite painful and then seeing it drag back decade after once again was too much for them to bear. Doom is a popular first person shooter game series, rebooted in 2016 by id Software and Bethesda Softworks.
