Divinity: Original Sin 2 Comes to Consoles
After experiencing massive success for their role-playing game Divinity: Original Sin in 2014, developer Larian Studios got on board for a sequel and Divinity: Original Sin 2 was released on September 14, 2017 for PC. It soon became a critically-acclaimed RPG title and starts topping Steam by leaving popular video games like Dota 2 and PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds behind them at that time. Now to rule the consoles of next generations, it is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platform in August, 2018.

This one was sort of inevitable as the developers eventually released Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition for PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One back in 2015, a year after initial release on PC following their immense triumph.

Not only the game has a four-player online co-op mode but it also supports two-player split-screen. Divinity: Original Sin 2 lets players control six in-game characters for a turn-based combat system, each having their very own back stories and different personalities to match. Interestingly, you are allowed to create your own character as well. Flexibility in customizing the game as you see fit is truly satisfying when you cannot just assemble your group but also pick up skills for them too.

Larian Studios started their journey with this sequel from Kickstarter and after they were successfully crowd-funded by the platform, DOS 2 followed the path of success just like it was destined to. Swen Vincke of the developer studio is actually a fan of Bandai Namco for their take on Dark Souls and The Witcher, which made him believe they can properly bring this RPG to its true appeal.

Since release, Divinity: Original Sin 2 has seen almost all sort of critic's praise that creative role-playing game could possibly hope for. It was declared "Game of the Year" by PC Gamer magazine and at The Game Awards 2017, DOS 2 was nominated as "Best Role-Playing Game", while becoming highest scoring PC game by Metacritic.
