Funko to Launch Summoners War Collectibles
Developer Com2Us is known for their massively popular turn-based strategy game Summoners War for Android and iOS users. This South Korean developer studio has recently signed a license agreement with another pop culture representative, Funko to introduce a new line of collectible items for the fans. Com2Us and Funko has join forces with the intention is to expand the already enriched universe of the multiplayer online game.
Now that Funko is in charge of bringing the Summoners War universe and its fan-favorite characters into life as stylized Pop! figures, we are in for a whole new level of treat. As part of the deal, apparel, accessories and digital products will also be released. You can also expect some digital cards, still or animated emojis and the chance of 2D/3D custom avatar creating with Pop! Yourself. This variety of products will be available worldwide through Funko's mobile app and third party sites.
Following the agreement with Funko, CEO of Com2us USA, Casey Lee expressed his excitement about the deal saying,
Back in November 2017, Com2Us have partnered up with Skybound Entertainment to come up with a brand-new comic book series based on the fictional Universe of Summoners War. Skybound is formed by the renowned comic-book writer Robert Kirkman (Battle Pope, Haunt) and being associated with them shows their sincerity to the project. And now that, Com2Us has teamed up with Funko, we are getting some sick new collectibles of their game characters as well to show off in the display.
As a massively multiplayer online strategy game for Android and iOS devices, Summoners War is doing exceptionally well since it was released on 2014. The game has been dominating both App Store and Google Play on nearly a hundred countries by ranking #1 in the RPG game category. With that stat in hand, we say it was high time for introducing a new line of merchandise for the franchise to satisfy the cravings of their huge fan-base.
