OVERKILL's The Walking Dead Introduces Aidan
Comic-book writer Robert Kirkman (Haunt, Invincible) has been writing The Walking Dead series for Image Comics from long before it was a hit. So far, Telltale’s The Walking Dead series has done pretty good job in capturing the mode of the series in its own world but even that is coming to an end in 2018. Looks like, it would be a good time for Overkill Studios to bring their long delayed video game based on The Walking Dead.
They've been pretty busy lately with another of their project, which is the Payday series and The Walking Dead game they started with is still under development. However, by the recent look of things, it seems that Kirkman’s Skybound Entertainment will be collaborating with Overkill for the game and they even released a new video.
Check out this trailer introducing Aidan, one of the four characters who will be part of this zombie apocalypse survival struggle.

This one is the first trailer among more to come that introduces a character named Aidan, who is a stressed business personnel currently settled in Washington D.C. As he was already struggling through all the responsibilities of life on his shoulder, shit just hit the fan and a zombie outbreak collapses civilization. He was caught in the middle of this apocalypse and turned out to be the sole survivor among many. Aidan gets out from the corpses lying around and draws out more to face them with a nailed baseball bat.

The game is going to be a four player co-op first person shooter and the characters will operate in the surroundings of Washington D.C. Each of these playable four characters is skilled in particular abilities and each has a different backstory. Based on their skill tree, some will be efficient in gunning down incoming wave of walkers and some might be good with going silent and deadly with a knife. As we see Aidan sport-fully wielding that baseball bat at the end of the trailer, chances are, he is melee character.
Overkill’s The Walking Dead will come out at some time in 2018 to play on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. There will be multiple missions and raids to gather supplies and recruit survivors to strengthen your own base. So, that next time you stay prepared when there is an attack or horde of walkers decides to pay a visit.
