Halo Wars 2: Awakening the Nightmare Release Date
Have you been playing 343 Industries and Creative Assembly's real-time strategy game Halo Wars 2 yet? If you did and you have liked it, then we got some more good news for you, mate. During E3 2017, it was revealed that Halo Wars 2 is getting a brand-new story expansion pack named "Awakening the Nightmare" and it is coming right the next month. Though there was not much details found initially, we tried to gather what we could.
But before we go any further, take a moment and check out this clip showcasing aspects of Halo Wars 2: Awakening the Nightmare.
It is a completely new digital expansion for Halo Wars 2 and a new Banished campaign is one of the primary features of it along with new maps to explore, Blur cinematics to behold, new leaders to follow and a new game mode called Terminus Firefight to experience; all in one great pack. The expansion is the successor of Halo Wars 2's most recent release of DLC leader YapYap The Destroyer.
Awakening the Nightmare expansion pack will take the players to the time where the battle for control of the Ark is still raging prior to the story of Halo Wars 2. While trying to get the drop on Captain Cutter and his fighters on board UNSC Spirit of Fire, The Banished somehow learns that their interest in this venture can lead them to major consequences, eventually taking shape of the Flood!
The developers of the game are also working on building a support system for Spectator Mode and Arena functionality but no release date is announced yet. This lets you watch online matches played by other people and take part in Xbox Live tournaments on a large scale. Halo Wars 2 and Halo 5: Guardians will have 4K support from November 7, when Xbox One X finally comes out of the shadow. Awakening the Nightmare will also receive the HDR support as well.
Recently, on stage of Gamescom 2017, it was announced that Halo Wars 2: Awakening the Nightmare is going to be available from September 26, 2017 on Xbox One and Windows PC!
