THQ Nordic and Gunfire Games have finally announced Darksiders III a day after it was leaked via Amazon listing.
After many gaming sites have started digging for a day on Darksiders III leak news according to an Amazon Listing, publisher studio THQ Nordic has finally decided to let the cat out officially and BANG! Now, here comes the Darksiders III announcement trailer for the eagerly anticipating fans all over the world. So, with that scoop turning out to be true, it is safe to say that the third installment of THQ's one of the most popular franchise of hack and slash action-adventure game Darksiders is officially on the horizon.

It's been five years since Darksiders II was released and ten years since Darksiders came out. Horseman Death and War both had their glorious days and now they are seemingly gone from the scene. So, Darksiders III is returning to make a history once again as there is a new Horseman of the Apocalypse named Fury. Since her brother War has been held up for his betrayal, Fury takes up the odd challenge of cleansing a ravaged Earth of Seven Deadly Sins where her brother failed in the first place.

The new Horseman takes her assignment with pleasure and displays her commending skills in dispatching deadly opponents with ease. Not only she has the intensity to do justice to her name, this one got an attitude to match as well. With her primary weapon of choice being an enchanted whip, we can only imagine what sorts of feats she will pull off with that apart from beheading her powerful rivals. After two of the most influential and renowned Horseman, it is time for a female protagonist to take the lead from here.

In absence of former developer studio Vigil Games; the original creators of the franchise, Gunfire Games have taken over Darksiders III project and so far as the trailer has shows us, they are doing quite a fine job. The official announcement trailer goes as far as to reveal the release year to be the year 2018, whereas the Amazon listing has mentioned the date to be December 31, 2018. Hopefully some upcoming major gaming event will shed more light on the progress of the game.
