Assassin's Creed TV Series Confirmed
Developer studio Ubisoft has finally unveiled its brand-new project which is Assassin’s Creed TV Series to expand their already popular franchise even further. Aymar Azazia, Assassin’s Creed head of content, shares this info at the Reddit AMA session. However, he has chosen to refrain from disclosing any other details about the series beforehand. Even while he chose to make the details a secret, Azaizia only promises to deliver the fans nothing but the best.
It is clear that an Assassin’s Creed TV show has, for now, not been formally announced. Yves Guillemot, CEO of Ubisoft, said that he had a formal talk with Netflix for an Assassin’s Creed TV series.
As for now, it seems the Assassin’s Creed TV show would perhaps be produced by Ubisoft Motion Pictures; Ubisoft’s TV and motion picture division. Ubisoft Motion Picture has previously produced the Nickelodeon TV show Rabbids Invasion as well as the Assassin’s Creed live-action movie, which came out in December 2016, starring actor Michael Fassbender. Also, as a major hint on the Assassin’s Creed TV show, Ubisoft is on the move on Assassin’s Creed sequel.
In the hope of getting more details, during AMA, Azaizia was interviewed about the new rumored Assassin’s Creed game, Assassin’s Creed: Empire, about which, Azaizia gave no significant node but it will presumably be set to have its setting in Egypt and a release date is set for later this year. Well, we can only assume that as Ubisoft did not release any major game title in 2016. Now, it is clear that Ubisoft’s cross media has finally tied up unto the task of expanding Assassin’s Creed franchise with a TV adaptation of the popular video game series.
