The video opens up with Claire trying to reach out to young Sherry Birkin, a little girl trying to hide behind boxes and then a monstrous figure shows up from behind, who turns out to be a G-Virus infected William Birkin, former researcher of Umbrella.
She immediately draws her gun and fight for survival begins as she tries to fend her against the G-monster as it constantly chases her with a pipe and she shots fire at him from her iconic M79 grenade launcher to smoke him for good.

However, the endgame of the fight is not shown but it is implied that she somehow managed to drive away Birkin and as she both try to get out with Sherry, they come across corrupt Chief Brian Irons who holds Claire at gunpoint before the video fades out.
Initially, the reason for her arrival in the city was to find her brother Chris Redfield but she got tangled into the zombie outbreak instead that has ravaged the entire city and met another survivor, who is rookie cop Leon S Kennedy.

This is the first time we got a good look at Claire Redfield gameplay footage following her debut at E3. Though some people are saying that she resembles to Zoey, a character from another survival horror title Left 4 Dead, she still looks amazing in her reinvented design.
Capcom previously mentioned that they are getting rid of the "zapping system", so that players don't require taking turn at stories in Resident Evil 2 Remake when it releases on January 25, 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
