Paladins Comes to Nintendo Switch
Hi-Rez Studios' fantasy hero shooter 'Paladins' is debuting on Nintendo Switch Next Week with Cross-Platform support for Xbox One.
A popular hero shooter from developer/publisher Hi-Rez Studios that has been accused of being a shameless copy of Blizzard Entertainment's multiplayer first-person shooter Overwatch, is now headed to Nintendo Switch. Nintendo's next gen console is going to release Paladins fantasy hero shooter on June 12, announced by the developers today. The game will run on 60 FPS on Switch and will be compatible for multiplayer cross-play with other players on Xbox One as well.

Although the game is a free-to-play title for Mac, PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, it will primarily launch on Switch for a $30 worth "Founders Pack", which includes all available characters as well as future and some cosmetic items exclusively for this console. Following this summer, the title will eventually return back to its free-to-play status. Since Sony is not interested in the idea of cross-play, PlayStation 4 owners are not joining a cross platform experience just yet.

Apparently, a recent leak ahead of E3 2018 had us informed about a few games that were going to be announced soon and Paladins happen to be one of the leaked Nintendo Switch games from that list. A guy working in E3 showroom displays got his hands on a printed listing for unannounced games for Switch console and leaked a photo of it over internet. This means that we can expect a port for Dragon Ball FighterZ, Fortnite, Killer Queen Black, Overcooked 2 and rest of the titles from that leak.

Paladins begin their journey on Early Access program of Steam in 2016 with 36 playable champions. Despite being constantly accused of cloning another popular shooter game, developers insist that they were actually inspired from Team Fortress 2 and it actually is a fantasy version of their 2010 release Global Agenda. Earlier this year, Hi-Rez Studios have released Paladins Battlegrounds, a spin-off version for 100-player battle royale currently titled "Realm Royale".
