Marvel's Spider-Man Can Start New Marvel Games Universe
As one of this year's most anticipating game and a PlayStation 4-exclusive, Marvel's Spider-Man from Insomniac Games and Sony Interactive Entertainment could have more potential than you think. With that being said, players are already pointing out a possibility of the title to become a new platform for an all-new Marvel Games Universe. When executive creative director Bill Rosemann of Marvel Games was asked about it, he neither confirmed nor denied about it.

Marvel Cinematic Universe has started their journey in 2008 with the very first live-action Iron Man movie and now ten years after, we are headed for Avengers: Infinity War. While all these movies has been building a new fan-base for these popular characters, Marvel Games has been trying to keep up with these blockbuster films by introducing the same characters into newer video game titles on various platforms at the same time.

This is a great strategy for cross-promotions but they need to improve their attempts to keep par with the level of MCU. Insomniac's upcoming Spider-Man game for PS4 may be offering Marvel Games that window to create their very own shared universe that can really be a game-changer for good. With Rosemann spending the last two decades with this company, he could become the next Kevin Feige for an all-new, all-different Marvel Games Universe and fans won't be less happier if that happens.

All these coy about creating a new shared universe for Marvel Games is important for them right now as they don't want players to lose focus from what's right ahead at this moment, which is Marvel's Spider-Man. The impending success of the project will better determine for what awaits in the future. Matter of fact is, MCU did the same thing by taking care of what task was at hand but then again, they sure dropped little hints every now and then, ultimately leading us to The Avengers film in 2012.

So, even if you see any reference of names and locations playing as Spidey in New York, that necessarily doesn't mean other characters are gonna pop up and interact with him. It is already established that we are getting a brand-new version of Spider-Man who indeed is Peter Parker but a mode edged, experienced version of the character that is slightly different than his comic-book counterpart.
