PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds War Event Mode
Last week, PUBG Corporation had successfully held "Tequila Sunrise" event mode and announced a War mode for PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds which will be accessible in custom games as the developers finish testing. This is perhaps the most intense version of Battle Royale that they have envisioned till date. Stretching to see how far they could take the game concept to keep things interesting to players, PUBG Corp. came up with deathmatch-style battles in War event mode.

By far, War is the most diverse mode in all of PUBG history you have ever partaken in aside from their main server. That's right! War will not show up in the game's regular selection but if you can create custom servers, you can see it. If a War server is available then just about anyone can join for some action. Remember when Battlegrounds used to be a mod in first person tactical military shooter ARMA from Bohemia Interactive? This is a lot like that as a callback to old days.

The thing everyone would appreciate about War is that, dying during a fight doesn't put you out of the field right away. You can "Re-Spawn" at your place by jumping from the plane after you are killed and pick up the fight from where you were left off. This means, you can now participate for longer than before in each of these 15-minute rounds. You and your 10-man squad are allowed in a small piece of Erangel map to take out two other teams and the map doesn't shrink on you. Isn't that great?

Whenever you re-spawn, you will be equipped with one random pistol, an assault rifle (AR) or designated marksman rifle (DMR), a level one helmet, a level one vest and a grenade. You can also scour in those buildings of the map for additional loot and care packages that drops after every 90 seconds but keep it in mind that by then, the shootout will already begin and bullets will be even flying into your direction. Even though you are taken out, rest of your team can carry on till you re-join them in a few seconds.

Since teams are consists with 10 players, you are allowed to bring 9 from your friends list or auto matching system will do it for you. You can also end up with less squad members depending on your matchmaking situation. Each team will be competing for 200 points to win and the first squad to score that takes the cake. Every kill will earn you 3 points and a single point for a knock out or reviving any of your teammates. If no team manages to score 200 points within 15-minute time limit, then the one with highest score will win the match.

War mode is available from April 12, at 7 PM PDT and will run till April 15, 7 PM PDT for a full weekend. Other things to note are there is no region lock, weather is fixed at “sunny”, Redzone and Killer Spectator Mode will be disabled as well. As the safe zone is limited, you have fewer places to hide your skin. So, we suggest you don't worry about getting shot and go out there to take out enemy teams. Also, North America, Europe, Asia, Southeast Asia and Oceania are exclusive to a first-person variant of War mode.

There are two versions of PUBG also available for playing it on Android and iOS devices. Although War event mode is here among us for a limited time for PUBG Corp. for testing purpose, we seriously hope that is becomes permanent, because it can probably help developers bring back loyal fans of the game into the festival of Battle Royale.
