Deckard Cain Joins Heroes of the Storm
Players who have enjoyed Blizzard Entertainment’s action role-playing Diablo franchise may remember the last Horadric scholar character Deckard Cain. Before he met his fate at the hands of Maghda and her Dark Coven, Cain re-forged the fallen archangel Tyrael's broken sword in Diablo III. You might be wondering why we are not talking about Diablo but just a recurring character who used to narrate lore and offer advice? Well, Blizzard is bringing him back once again.

Blizzard has officially announced Deckard Cain from Diablo series is going to be drafted as a playable character for their free-to-play multiplayer online battle arena game Heroes of the Storm, available on Mac and PC. Cain will be joining the Nexus this April and we have a spotlight trailer here to showcase his abilities.

Deckard Cain is introduced as a support hero to aid his fellow Heroes of the Storm characters during battle by handing out healing potions for them. When he will give up potions, it will heal the first nearest ally and then another and at a time, he can drop five of these. He can throw out Horadric Cube as one of his offensive abilities to deliver 80 damage to his enemies within range and also slow them down to 40 percent for a brief time, which is 1.75 seconds to be exact. This one is a great tool to control opponents and set up your allies.

Cain's Scroll of Sealing spreads out a magical triangle to root his rivals in their place for 1.5 seconds and dealing 150 damage inside this protective scroll. One of his famous line from Diablo series was "Stay Awhile and Listen", which is Cain’s ultimate ability in Heroes of the Storm. Enemies in range will be put to sleep for two seconds as he will tell stories to them. By sticking close to his allies, he gains 10 armor his basic abilities charge back twice faster than usual.

Now, this is not a new news for Heroes of the Storm players that Blizzard brings out many popular character into this popular online hero brawler from Diablo, Overwatch, StarCraft, The Lost Vikings and Warcraft series every now and then. Though, many followers of the HotS franchise initially thought his inclusion to be an April fool's joke, we think it would be interesting to see how his character works out into the mix.
