PUBG Becomes Best-Selling Video Games Ever
Video game industry witnessed a new record-breaker that made its debut in 2017 and it is a multiplayer online battle royale game. We are talking about PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds from PUBG Corporation and many of you may have already guessed that even if you have missed the title somehow, because it's so obvious. The game ruthlessly dominated the market last year and made it to the top 10 best-selling video games of all time.

We are now in 2018 and the game isn't showing any signs of stopping or slowing down on increasing sales. Even though PUBG faced some competition from Epic Games' free-to-play battle royale game Fortnite, the major issue they are facing is the ever-growing number of cheaters in-game. In a last-man-standing shooter of a maximum 100 players, the constant cheats are ruining the experience for everyone.

So far, the developers are regularly banning hundreds and thousands of cheaters worldwide, taken legal action against the cheaters in China and added a replay option to detect and report a potential cheater with suspicious activity. The majority of players who suffers from this are mostly on PC and many of them are with PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds till the beginning when it haven't even fixed issues and wasn't released officially.

Most recent chart indicates that 30 million copies of PUBG have been sold for PC and another 4 million sales came from Xbox One version release. With that, the total estimate sales is over 34.193 million and that earns PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds seventh position on the best-selling video games of all time list, beating games like New Super Mario Bros. and Wii Sports Resort. Considering the game started out on Steam's Early Access, this monumental achievement is quite impressive.

Previously known as Korean publisher Bluehole, PUBG Corporation presents PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is a third-person shooter for PC and Xbox One. Despite the setbacks with cheats, the game also holds record for the highest number of concurrent players on Steam, leaving Dota 2 at second place. The Xbox One version issues though but that doesn't mean they can't be fixed. With every other game trying to introduce their very own battle royale mode, PUBG better start working on some new maps for the fans.
