The King of Fighters '98 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One
There was a time when Neo Geo games used to dominate the arcade games single handedly with their The King of Fighters and Fatal Fury series. They do deserve credit for the evolution of these modern days fighting games, which they helped to advance. In the year 2017, Neo Geo has ported many of their games to consoles and has been keeping busy with King of Fighters XIV and their new heroine based spin-off game SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy.
Courtesy of HAMSTER, the most praised installment of the KoF series, The King of Fighters '98 is just dropped on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as "ACA Neo Geo The King of Fighters '98", almost after two decades of its original release.
Started from King of Fighters '94, "The Orochi Saga" finally came to an end with King of Fighters '97 and then there was a break in the middle with KoF '98. Before the NESTS saga could begin, the title was released as a "Dream Match" that features almost every fighter that had been introduced till that point, regardless they are dead or alive in the story at that point. SNK even took the liberty of including the returning boss character Rugal Bernstein, who died back in KoF '95.

You will be glad to know that this port is directly the arcade version of The King of Fighters '98 which you have been so used to play for a long time back then and you can see exactly that on the clip above. It's not some silly attempt of remix or a revamp and most definitely, not a rearranged version of KoF '98: Ultimate Match. Since the game is now on consoles, you can always tweak the difficulty settings and other options as you see fit for your taste.
