Bayonetta 3 Announced for Nintendo Switch |
An anticipated Nintendo Switch port for classic hack and slash adventure titles Bayonetta 1 and 2 were revealed today during The Game Awards 2017, showing new gameplay footage running on handheld mode of current-gen console.
Nintendo president Reggie Fils-Aimé then announces that a third mainline entry is currently in development at Platinum Games. A brief teaser for upcoming action-adventure title Bayonetta 3 is premiered, coming exclusively to Switch.
Nintendo officially reveals a new trailer today, announcing Bayonetta 3 and teases her awaited return to series.
Latest trailer for Bayonetta 3 starts with the sky slowly turning into red and camera frame shifts to her. A light purple apparition repeatedly hits her multiple times before she could even react and shoot back at it, with no result of course.
That unknown entity simply stops all of her bullets using a glass-like wall before finally deciding to face her directly. As they both stand face to face and it presumably runs straight through her, she seemingly fell down as well as her guns.
Although remaining very discreet, Bayonetta 3 trailer has probably implied that she was cut in half by a powerful enemy. Platinum Games has apparently taken the gloves off to announce an awaited return of beloved series protagonist.
Everyone's favorite dual-hand gun wielding femme fatale Bayonetta will soon be back exploring a new chapter of known franchise. Before she does, fans can get busy playing Bayonetta 1 and 2 on Nintendo Switch consoles by next year.
Nintendo will be in charge of releasing Bayo 3 like its predecessor, instead of original publisher Sega. Fans of Platinum Games' fan-favorite hack and slash series gets to play as titular Umbra Witch in newest Bayonetta sequel very soon.
Nintendo and Platinum Games have yet to reveal much information on Bayonetta 3, regarding gameplay and story premise. They didn't even share a set release date or any possible launch window for its likely arrival in coming years.
