Dota 2 Will Be Newbie Friendly
Valve Corporation, inventors of DOTA 2 has really made so much improvement not just to Dota but to the world of the game and this is applaudable. However, the online battle arena of Dota is not a very friendly one to step your foot onto. Every new comer in a new game or existing game has, most times, faces hostile environment and a toxic one.
Now, Dota is allowing new players to enjoy the game by making them comfortable at first so they can ease into the game and not just run away from it by getting manhandled by the pros. In fixing the hostility to new player's experience, Valve made sure they only match new players with reliable high score, reducing chances of new players been bully in game.
Another way of making DOTA 2 interesting is by restricting the number of hero a new player can choose from. The process of choosing from over 100 heroes before can be frustrating for new players because they do not know which hero to pick from the numerous one available. Now this has been made much easier because it has been restricted to just 20 heroes but that is only for your first 25 game, which Valve believes will be awesome at helping players in learning and enjoying the game, so you can expect players like Juggernaut, Lich, Lion, Shadow Shaman, Sniper, Sven and Zeus.
Another intriguing moment in Dota is found at the first stage of learning the game; intricate strategies begin to take shape around you in the battle as against the numerous issues that caused unnecessary challenges for new players previously. More like a game of boards, just reading Dota’s rule all day would not make you a pro, only constant playing and playing with a friendly partner would make you a better player. Dota comes with a lot of mechanics and interactions that can be challenging to understand of course.
This is a game that lovers of Dota would really want to play but most especially, new players of the community. Dota 2 was built especially for new players and thumbs up to Valve for this welcoming initiative. Also, don't forget that the International Dota 2 Championships begins on August 7, worth a total prize amount of $23 million.
