Netflix Wants Castlevania Season 2
The news of the frequent cancellation of Netflix shows are a common thing these days. Castlevania video game adaptation series however is going quite opposite of that road. Perhaps, they really want to blow us off with more of this unique, perfect and never-before seen series and to back that up, executive producer of the show, Adi Shankar (Dredd, The Grey) has revealed that the streaming service has finally approved for the second season which features eight episodes instead of four from Season 1.

The news came in Shankar's reaction to a question regarding if there was any aspects that he wanted to adapt into the show but couldn't, he simply replied,
Based on a smash-hit video game franchise, the plot of the Castlevania series revolves around the chronicles of the Belmont family, who has been hunting Vampires for generation to rid the world from the menace of the bloodsuckers. About the show, Shankar claimed at one point that it would turn out to be one of the first good video game adaptations and turns out, he was right.
Although many eager fans were quite disappointed knowing that the Castlevania adaptation series on Netflix will not be a live-action one but animated, Adi Shankar has really put a lot of effort to portray the bloody violence needed for the show and earned his applause in the end. So, it is safe to say that whatever happened eventually turned out for good because, the past record for live-action portrayal for video game has always been somewhat a disappointing experience for the hardcore fan-base.

Profound comic-book writer Warren Ellis (Astonishing X-Men: Xenogenesis, Iron Man: Extremis) has provided script for the animated adaptation of the popular video game series. Castlevania stars the voice talent of Alejandra Reynoso, Emily Swallow, James Callis, Graham McTavish, Richard Armitage and Tony Amendola. Currently, there are no release date is set for the upcoming second season.
